Exposure Science and Assessment Ph.D. Program

Program Description

Our Exposure Science Ph.D. students are immersed in the study of human contact with chemical, physical, or biological agents. Students will investigate contacts occurring in their environments to advance the knowledge of the mechanisms and dynamics of events either causing or preventing adverse health outcomes.

Civil & Environmental Engineering

Program Description

The Civil and Environmental Engineering program provides education and research in sustainability and resilience of infrastructures, infrastructure materials and design, transportation planning and management, deploying emerging concepts and technologies in construction, and environmental pollution control, management, and protection of resources.

Cellular & Molecular Pharmacology

Program Description

By conducting independent research under the mentorship of a faculty advisor, the Graduate Program in Cellular & Molecular Pharmacology prepares students for research-oriented careers in the biomedical sciences. Students who apply to this program are admitted via Molecular Biosciences, a first-year umbrella program that provides a core curriculum, as well as the opportunity to sample laboratories through rotations. Students tailor their training through selection of additional courses from a variety of disciplines.

Cell Biology, Neuroscience & Physiology

Program Description

During 3 semesters of integrated coursework, students will take 3 laboratory research rotations and select mentors for focused thesis research. Students who earn Ph.D. degrees in the CBNP track will be positioned to continue their careers performing the interdisciplinary and translational systems biology research that will epitomize the future of biomedical research.

Program Description

The Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health prepares students for careers in research and/or academia. Through doctoral level training and research, students will develop expertise in a particular concentration area, design and implement a research project, integrate and interpret complex data, and complete a comprehensive dissertation.

Program Description

The mission of the Psychology Department faculty is to combine excellence in scientific research with excellence in teaching our graduate students. All students participate in scientific research and the discovery process. Each graduate student works with a primary mentor in one of the four areas within the department.
