Master's Degree ProgramsPre-medical | Pre-dental | Research
Students applying to the 30 credit Masters Program can apply to be part of one of the following tracks: Medical scholars track, Dental scholars track, or Biomedical Research scholars track. Graduates from this Masters program pursue Medical School, Dental School, Ph.D. education or careers in biopharma. Students who are part of a particular track get (1) specialized advising from medical and dental school faculty as well as biopharma industry professionals (2) eligibility to request specialized courses e.g. courses in the medical and dental school (3) priority for volunteering opportunities. This program has a flexible curricula and builds on the existing strengths of basic and clinical faculty in the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) and Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM).
Multidisciplinary PhD ProgramBiomedical research
Based on their interests, students entering the multidisciplinary program will choose one of four educational tracks that focus on molecular biosciences (MBGC), integrative biosciences (CBNP), infectious disease and immunity (I3), or biomedical engineering (BME). Each track provides a structured education in one of four broad biomedical subject areas and yet encourages students to develop their own curriculum on their specialized research interest. Faculty mentors may be members of more than one educational track, thereby allowing students greater flexibility in choosing the track that fits their educational needs. In addition, students may apply for consideration by more than one track, and it is possible to move between tracks once enrolled.
