Rutgers University’s Office of the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs is pleased to announce the launch of the 2026-2027 Clean Energy Fellowship Program, funded by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA). We encourage faculty mentors across all campuses and disciplines to nominate outstanding currently enrolled doctoral or Ph.D. students from a wide array of disciplines and socioeconomic backgrounds who are conducting research in clean energy-related fields.

Through funding from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), fellows will receive a $27,000 stipend, participate in professional development and industry engagement activities, and showcase their research at the annual NJEDA Clean Energy Research Symposium, helping advance the next generation of clean energy innovation.

Nominations open August 17, 2026, and must be submitted by September 17, 2026.
