Fundamentals of Teaching Online

Please join Assistant Dean Ramazan Güngör for a step-by-step guide on how to redesign your face-to-face graduate course for online delivery. This remote workshop (via Webex) will be offered every Friday from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. for the foreseeable future.

The workshop will cover the whole process of moving a class online—from preparing a syllabus to course evaluations. Additionally, best practices, grounded in empirical research on teaching effectively at a distance, will be discussed. Participants will have the opportunity talk through their course and find solutions based on the unique needs and challenges of their subject matter.

A list of online teaching resources has been created on Sakai. The workshop will go through some of this material.

Dr. Güngör has been teaching online courses since 2006, and he has experience assisting faculty with the transition to online teaching.

The workshop will be held using Webex.
