Join us to hear from Rutgers alum James Cappola, MD/PhD. We will hear about vaccine development and cancer "vaccine" progress as well as an important focus on the US to support new treatments for PTSD. Dr. Cappola has 25+ years’ experience as Director Clinical Development as well as Clinical Safety; Medical Affairs/ Clinical Research for Hematological, Oncological, Neurological, anti-Infective, Pulmonary, Cardiovascular Drug Development. He is also a Medical Monitor- Pharmacovigilance for Phase I, II, III, IV Clinical Studies in both adults and children.

SGS at 2022 ABRCMS Conference in Anaheim, CA - Recap
This Fall, the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) participated in the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists (ABRCMS) which took place November 9 - 12 in Anaheim, California. 2022 marked the 20th anniversary of the conference and SGS was recognized for its participation every year!

SUPER-GRAD Fellow and RISE Alum Maricely Ramírez-Hernández Recognized at the SACNAS NDiSTEM 2022 Conference
Maricely Ramírez-Hernández was awarded the Graduate Oral Presentation Materials Science category at the SACNAS NDiSTEM conference held in San Juan, Puerto Rico October 26- 29, 2022. Maricely presented the work she has been doing under the guidance of Prof. Tewodros "Teddy" Asefa on the repurposing of anthelmintics for bactericidal properties. Maricely is a RISE 2017 alum and a 2018 SUPER-Grad Fellow.
