Program Description
It is a broad-based, inherently global, industry-specific program of study that reflects Rutgers’ traditional strengths in finance, marketing, management and law, as well as its location in the New York/Philadelphia/Washington northeast corridor, the center of the sports industry.
In evolving our successful sports studies undergraduate program to the graduate level, we have created a curriculum centered on intensive classwork, case studies, mentorships, field work and executive residency training. This prepares students for the world of sports business and administration, corporate marketing, sponsorship and branding, athletic representation, professional and recreational facilities ownership and management, hospitality and tourism, media and entertainment production, and advertising and merchandising careers.
This approach allows our graduates to immediately be able to add value at the managerial, director and C-levels and establish themselves as key decision-makers in the sports industry.
