Office of Graduate Student External Grants and Fellowships
The Office of Graduate Student External Grants and Fellowships helps you navigate the world of external funding for graduate students. We manage a number of scholarship competitions, as well as GradFund, our peer mentoring fellowship advising service.
Fellowship Advising Through Peer Mentoring
Through GradFund, Fellowship Advisors and Peer Mentors provide mentoring and guidance through providing advice, one-on-one consultations, workshop opportunities, and mentoring programs.

Meet with us
Schedule an individual meeting with a GradFund Fellowship Advisor for help finding funding, planning your applications, and feedback on any draft applications. We are available to meet with students at 25 Bishop Place or over Skype.
Step-by-step tutorials
GradFund’s Resource Pages provide clear, step-by-step guidance to help you build a funding plan or write your most competitive funding application.
Forums and Chats
Use our forums to exchange ideas with your peers and GradFund staff about applying for external funding. We also offer an online chat service called “Ask a Fellowship Advisor,” where you can ask questions about any of our services.
