Event Description

This workshop will focus on the essentials of entrepreneurship and intellectual property (IP) for graduate students interested in turning research innovations into viable commercial ventures. Hosted in partnership with the Technology Transfer Office, the session will cover critical aspects of IP protection,patenting, and licensing, while also exploring pathways to entrepreneurship and creation of start-ups. Students will learn about the opportunities and challenges of bringing their research to market, the steps involved in developing a startup, and the support available through Rutgers. By the end of the workshop, participants will have a clearer understanding of how to transform their research ideas into entrepreneurial endeavors and how to strategically manage intellectual property in both academic and industry settings.
