iJOBS Workshop: How to Make Great Figures for Publication

Event Description

Whether you are writing a grant application, manuscript or presentation, you have limited space to explain your science. Figures that are clear, intuitive and robust to misinterpretation are essential to your success. In this interactive session, we will learn from Sarah Treit, PhD of FiguresFirst about the elements of successful data visualization, effective figure design, and formatting for clarity. Examples from published literature and hands-on exercises are used to illustrate best practices and help identify potential pitfalls. This workshop is not software specific so you will benefit regardless of the statistical or graphing program you use.
