What is your current title?

PhD Candidate

RISE 2017, SUPER GRAD Fellow 2018-2019

What department did you work in? 

Chemical & Biochemical Engineering PhD program

What was the title of your project? 

"Development of Copper-Modified Functionalized Mesoporous Silica Nanomaterials and Investigation of Antimicrobial Properties for Wound Healing Applications"

When did you graduate? 

Expected graduation this semester - Spring 2023 

What accomplishments would you like to share? What have you been up to since you completed the program? 

I have participated in several startup competitions most recently became a full-time Licensing Manager at Innovation Ventures, the tech transfer office within the Office of Research after participating as a commercialization fund intern for the HealthAdvance program within the same department.

What advice would you give to someone interested in following a similar path as yours?

Ask all the questions you can! You never know what opportunities are out there and how they may shape your goals to find a role that makes YOU happy.
