You are invited to our first Annual IMSD Symposium. IMSD students + Friends in year 2 and above will give 5-min presentations of their work. Dr. Maribel Vazquez, from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers, will give the Keynote address. Everyone is invited to a BBQ that will take place immediately after the event.
The workshop is open to all IMSD students + friends, and advisors. The workshop will be facilitated by Beth Tracy, former Director of the Office of Faculty Development at Rutgers.
Hear from recent iJOBS PhD alum who work at the bench in pharma and biotech to learn how they got their first job and what are the differences between academia and industry bench research. Note that there will be 2 such panels this summer with different guests at each one.

Note that there will be 2 workshops this summer for jobs at Primarily Undergraduate Institutions (PUIs) and 2 on R1 universities with different panelists for each event.
