If you want to learn cutting edge tools used in biopharma industry projects, this workshop is for you! The “Gantt chart” is a critical component of a project manager’s (PM’s) “toolbox”.  The Gantt chart provides a visual representation of the project’s duration (timeline) based on its tasks and their inter-dependencies, deliverables deadlines and more.  In this 90-minute interactive workshop, Claudia Campbell-Matland, PMP (Chairperson of Project Management Institute’s NJ Chapter’s Life Sciences “Local Community of Interest”) will review and demonstrate a few popular software tools used to create Gantt charts and project timelines, e.g., Microsoft Project (traditional scheduling tool used across all industries), Smartsheet (up & coming scheduling tool) and the Office Timeline plug-in for PowerPoint (a recent tool for creating graphical high-level timelines). Rashade Haynes II was an undergrad at Rutgers and then went on to get his PhD in Cellular and Molecular Immunology at The Ohio State University. Following a postdoc back at Rutgers, he joined Oncobiologics and then moved to Bristol Myers Squibb where he has been involved in studies in autoimmunity, immune-oncology, and muscosal immunology. Their areas include cancer, cardio-metabolic, immunology, dermatology, ophthalmology, neuroscience, and respiratory. We will hear from employees about their career path and what it is like to work there.
