About Your Requirements

Anatomy Instruction – Certificate at Rutgers University School of Graduate Studies in New Brunswick/Piscataway, NJ requires 18 credits, which may be obtained within a 12-month period (if starting in the fall semester).  Anatomy Instruction training will have separate exams, which will have letter grades.

About Your Eligibility

All applicants for admission are required to have already graduated from a Master of Biomedical Sciences program or individuals who have a Ph.D., D.V.M., or other professional degrees and have an interest in teaching human anatomy. Prior completion of a lab-based graduate-level course in gross anatomy is required for participation in this program. Applicants will be evaluated based on the basis of their academic record and recommendations from two individuals knowledgeable about the student's academic potential.

About Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is rigorous, having been pulled directly from our Medical School courses and taught by Medical School Faculty. This will allow students to demonstrate their ability to handle medical school coursework while benefitting from additional knowledge acquisition that will assist in the transition to a full medical school curriculum.

Tuition

About Your Tuition

You must complete 18 credits required for the Anatomy Instruction program to earn your certificate. All students are responsible for payment of at least 18 credits of tuition, even if all credits are not completed in residence. In addition, students completing more than 18 credits will be billed. Tuition will be charged per credit.

All applicants for admission to the Clinical & Translational Science – Certificate Program are required to have a Biomedical Sciences – MS degree, a Ph.D., or a D.V.M. Prior completion of a lab-based graduate-level course in gross anatomy is required for participation in this program. Applicants will be evaluated based on their academic record and recommendations from two individuals knowledgeable about the student's academic potential.

All applicants must submit their application and supporting documents by the deadline.

Graduate Committee Letter Guidelines

Our program leadership is pleased to offer our students a graduate committee letter. If you are requesting this service, then you will be required to submit a number of items. See the guidelines posted here for specific instructions. Please note that the Rutgers School of Graduate Studies reserves the right to refuse committee letters for students for whom we would recommend with reservations due to poor performance.
