Event Description
If you are curious about how your scientific background can help inform policy that benefits society, come to this event to hear from current and former New Jersey Eagleton Science and Politics Fellows about how this program has transformed their careers. This one-year fellowship program welcomes applications from doctoral-level scientists, engineers, and healthcare professionals at all stages of their careers. Science Fellows are placed in New Jersey state legislative or executive offices as full-time in-house science advisors and work directly alongside decision-makers on the formation and implementation of the state's policies. The Fellowship starts in July 2024 and offers a full salary with health, dental and vision benefits.

Doing a postdoc in biotech is a great way to get your foot in the door of industry and see if you like biotech. Small companies allow you to wear many hats and learn all aspects of industry which helps you with your long-term career prospects. Attend this panel to meet scientists from different local startups to hear their stories and advice on how to navigate this career path. You will also learn about an exciting fellowship opportunity for recent PhD graduates to have a 2 year postdoc at a company in New Jersey funded by the NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

Interest in considering a future PhD program
Completion of at least the sophomore year by June 2025. Occasionally, we consider current first-years with extraordinary credentials.
