Scientists play an important role in protecting intellectual property and filing patent briefs. A patent agent is a licensed professional who helps inventors with patent applications. They can write and prosecute patent applications, and represent inventors before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Come hear from several panelists who have chosen this exciting career path and learn about the role of IP in the fields of life sciences and biomedical engineering.
