Maricely Ramírez-Hernández was awarded the Graduate Oral Presentation Materials Science category at the SACNAS NDiSTEM conference held in San Juan, Puerto Rico October 26- 29, 2022. Maricely presented the work she has been doing under the guidance of Prof. Tewodros "Teddy" Asefa on the repurposing of anthelmintics for bactericidal properties. Maricely is a RISE 2017 alum and a 2018 SUPER-Grad Fellow.

SGS SUPER-GRAD fellow Jennifer Guzman Pachardo was awarded the prestigious and highly competitive National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship in the 2022 award cycle. Jennifer is a Summer 2018 RISE alum and 2021-2022 SUPER-GRAD fellow.

Congratulations to Courtney McDermott, a Ph.D. student in Dr. Manny DiCicco-Bloom’s lab, on receiving the prestigious NIH Blueprint Diversity Specialized Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Advancement in Neuroscience (D-SPAN) Award. Courtney is the first Neuroscience student at Rutgers University to achieve this award!
