Merck Human Resources team and hiring managers will tell us what Merck is looking for in their new hires for PhD level positions.  Merck has areas of focus in oncology, vaccines, infectious diseases, covid-19, and cardio-metabolic disorders. We will hear from employees about their career path and what it is like to work there. Rutgers PhD alum Norell Hadzimichalis, PhD will share her experiences as a licensing associate in the tech transfer and business development office at Rutgers which then led to a position at RB as the Head of Global Open Innovation and Partnerships followed by the Director of Pain and Cardio Global R&D at Bayer.  You will learn how to transfer your skills from an academic setting to industry and move up the ladder to a director position. RISE 2021 Scholars Amy Wu Wu and Mickayla Bacorn Awarded Pauling Poster Prize

Research Intensive Summer Experience (RISE) at Rutgers

Congrats to Amy and Mickayla for each being recognized with a Pauling Poster Prize at the American Crystallographic Association’s annual meeting! Their posters were a part of the work they conducted during the RISE 2021 Summer Program. This summer Amy was mentored by Stephen K. Burley in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology while Mickayla was mentored by Sagar Khare in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology.
